Purpose: To share and encourage. Writers can express doubts and concerns without fear of appearing foolish or weak. Those who have been through the fire can offer assistance and guidance. It’s a safe haven for insecure writers of all kinds!
Posting: The first Wednesday of every month is officially Insecure Writer’s Support Group day. Post your thoughts on your own blog. Talk about your doubts and the fears you have conquered. Discuss your struggles and triumphs. Offer a word of encouragement for others who are struggling. Visit others in the group and connect with your fellow writer - aim for a dozen new people each time.
My insecurity this month is my attempt to make my blog more accessible.
As most of you know, I abandoned Blogger over a year ago so I could have everything on one website. It sounded great in theory, but it turns out that was a bit much to expect of my host, i.e. I lost visitors, regulars couldn't comment using Disqus, etc.
So, I did some finagling...
If you're seeing this on my website, that means it worked! My Weebly site is actually showing you an embedded window of my old Blogger blog, but you're able to interact with it as if you were there. Pretty cool, right?
If not, well... *cough* we'll pretend it never happened.
P.S. My assistant Tucker took a nose-bump selfie. If that doesn't make your day brighter, I don't know what will. ;)
Question of the Week:
What do you use to blog?

Now that's a cute selfie.
Hey, I can comment here!
Victory! :) Thanks, Alex.
I use WordPress and I've been pretty happy with it. I've thought about moving to my own site, but haven't taken the plunge yet. Maybe eventually. I'm glad you got things sorted out. Tucker's selfie made me smile. Happy IWSG Day!
I've found it a bit more challenging to find you when you made the switch, but it's working. Yay!
You worked it out! I would probably have bought a ticket to Katmandu and fled. Great to meet the pup with such composure in front of the camera.
Looks like it's working for me - I was able to read and comment easily.
I use Blogger, and I keep it pretty simple. I'm not sure I could handle anything else. :)
I see what you want me to see. And I can comment. I believe you've done it. :)
I just use blogger. I like it. On my website, I just set up a page for it.
It's working for me. Excellent idea!
A co-host here. It's great that it worked out for you. I've been on Blogger the time. It works for me.
I thought your blog looked a little bit different. ^_^ And I like this comment system better than Disqus. Yay for new stuff working well!
And I just use Blogspot, as a friend told me it was a place where a lot of writers congregated. It's worked out pretty well so far, once I got the hang of how to use it.
It works! But it seems I have lost you via Bloglovin' and it was on a hunch that I went looking to see if you had an IWSG post that I'd missed. Sure enough!
I'm not a huge fan of the scrolling inner window, but that might be because I'm a freak who runs with a smaller than normal browser size so I have to double scroll.
Cute selfie!
So happy! I dropped by your blog 3-4 times but could never comment. Hello again!
I'm a blogger fan myself, but any format works so long as it's got good content:)
@Lori - I'm glad to hear that! :)
@ Natalie - I had a feeling that might be the case. I'm glad I finally have it somewhat worked out now. Time to start producing quality content again!
@Lee - The thought crossed my mind... LOL
@Madeline - Fantastic! Thank you for commenting. :)
@Chrys - Yay! Thank you.
@Misha - Thank you! I've missed hearing from you guys. :D
@Bish - Welcome! :)
@Mason - Awesome! I'm so glad to hear that. :)
@Loni - Hmm, I shall have to investigate the scrolling inner window, but I'm so glad you found me. :)
@Libby - Yay! I'm happy, too. :D
@Mark - Good philosophy to live by. :)
