Business Update
Exactly six months ago, I announced the opening of my graphic design business—Forward Authority. Whew! What a ride it's been since then. I've had so many referrals and amazing projects to work on. Thank you. :) If you're curious about the types of things I do, here's a little slideshow:
(The bottom right button opens it in a new window.)
It's missing some 2014 highlights—like S.J. Pajonas' FACE TIME cover, Lisa Regan's HOLD STILL cover, and Anna Silver's ASTRAL TIDE cover—but it shows plenty of other fun stuff from previous years. :)
Read an E-Book Week
(Apparently, it's a thing. I didn't know until this weekend.)
March 2nd - 8th on Smashwords:
► Strength (Mark of Nexus #1) - Coupon Code RW100 - $0.00
► Courage (Mark of Nexus #2) - Coupon Code REW75 - $1.00
Upcoming Release
As I mentioned last week, I have a release coming up this month. Unfortunately, I haven't felt well enough to plan much of anything—no blitz, no tour, no virtual release shindig, etc. So, expect a soft release around St. Patrick's Day. Sorry about that.
Audiobook Updates
Courage (Mark of Nexus #2) is currently in production.
Writing Updates
As soon as Honesty (Mark of Nexus #2.5) is out the door, I start work on the final novel in my series—Loyalty (Mark of Nexus #3). It's slated for a summer release. Then I'm moving on to a YA fantasy and a contemporary of some sort. Onward!
Question of the Week:
What's on your spring agenda?

Congratulations on a successful first six months! Your artwork is amazing.
So glad your business is doing so well. You're so talented.
And if you want me to shout out about your book release in Follower News, send me a one to two sentence blurb and a few links.
Thanks for the update, Carrie--looks like things are going great!
You are so very talented! And you save writers a lot of stress.
How wonderful that you're seeing your dream to fruition.
How cool! I will recommend you to authors looking for cover art.
Congrats on all your success! Everything you've done looks so fabulous!
Glad to hear forward authority is still going well.
Sorry you haven't felt well enough to plan anything for the release of Honesty. Let me know if you change your mind, and want a hand promoting it. And good luck working on Loyalty - hope it all goes well for you! :D
Thank you, Alex! :)
You've been rocking it! (Like a hurricane? I think so! :D) Here's to more big gains in 2014!
You have fantastic graphics. Great to hear your 6 months have been good. Are you going to do a male-narrator for Honesty? I'd love to hear your choice of voice actor. :D
Thank you very much, Natalie! That would be fantastic. :D
Great, chaotic—close enough! ;) Thanks, Jeff!
Thanks, J! :)
D'aww... thanks, Elizabeth! :)
The first 6 months have been fantastic and the next six, I'm sure, will be another wonderful whirlwind of activity and fun.
Congrats on the busy-ness of the business and for the releases to come. My spring will include some sprint breaking and prep to release the last Chancellor Baltimore Confession under my Rayven Godchild pen name.
Sorry you haven't been feeling well, but glad everything else seems great :-) Congrats on another book release, woot woot!!
Congrats on your business' first six months. Wow, you are one busy bee. Your graphic artwork is awesome. Might need some help in that area down the road!
Absolutely wonderful, Carrie! Congratulations.
You know what's on my spring agenda. It's part of what's been keeping you from yours. *hangs head*
Hope you feel better soon.
I'm certainly trying! Thanks, Julie. :D
Thank you, Pegasus! :) Major congrats to you, too! I've been following your victories, even though I've been semi-absent from the world of social media lately.
I'd really appreciate that, Catherine! Thank you so much. :D
Oh, I'd love help promoting it—even casually. New meds have me so dizzy, I just can't concentrate. It's driving me nuts that I'm not prepared. xD
Thanks, Clare!
Congrats on your graphic designing and your writing pursuits Carrie.
Wahoo! The audio book on its way... That's epic. I've actually recommended your services a couple times, Carrie--even recently. I think you have a wonderful eye for design and an excellent style. In fact, if my graphic designer isn't able to meet his deadlines, I'm coming your way. =)
Cool, I didn't know you were an artist. That's awesome.
I think you have a big enough audience that a soft release will still work. I still haven't been able to do anything other than soft releases. I'm what's known in the writing business as "lazy."
Oh, the question: well, I hope to release my comedy novel "Adventures of Couch Potato" by April. Need to edit the heck out of that sucker.
Impromptu karaoke session? Yes, please! ;)
Thanks, E.J.!
Thank you so much, Loni! :)
I've been going through male-narrator clips for Honesty. Here's to hoping I find a great match!
What an inspiration you are, Carrie. I'm sitting here trying to finish my WIP that I've been working on for over 2 years. I need a good kick in the butt!
Wow, I didn't know you did all that. It's fantastic!
ah come on...cole needs it hard and rough, not soft! hehehe...
Thank you, Angela! I wish the very best luck with your last Chancellor Baltimore Confession. :D
Thank you, Jamie! I appreciate it. :)
Thank you, Jay! That would be awesome. :D
Thank you, Lee! :)
A friend in need is a friend indeed!
Thank you. :)
D'aww... thanks, Crystal! I really appreciate that. <3
Thank you, Sheena-kay! :D
Thank you, Nigel!
I really hope so. Here's to hoping we both get the energy/opportunity to do something other than a soft release next go-round. :)
Oo, good luck editing!
Thank you, Joylene!
Your WIP is two years in the making? Oh, I bet it's going to be awesome!
Thank you, Cathrina! :D
LOL Your comments never cease to amuse me. ;)
