Hi Carrie! Thanks for having me over to talk about naked blind dates, honey pots, and night crawlers.
No, I'm not talking about porn and fishing bait. I'm talking about some of the coolest spy terms I came across while researching Fate Intended. In the story, Trip Coulter is a man on a covert mission. A spy with his eye on the happily ever target.
So, what does it mean to go naked on a blind date with a honey pot to look for night crawlers?
► Naked- to work without cover or back up
► Blind date- first meeting with an unknown source
► Honey pot- female agent using sex to compromise a target
► Night crawlers- talent spotters who prowl bars and clubs for government employees and military who can be compromised or trusted
► Talent spotter- recruiter
Some other fun terms?
► Rent a goon- operatives proficient in hand to hand combat used as body guards
► Bag job- breaking and entering
► Cobbler- spy who makes fake documents
► Cooked- mixing real intelligence with false information
► Expats- expatriates planted in other countries to influence culture
and by far...the funkiest word I came across?
► Funkspiel- impersonation of another in electronic communications

About the Book
Fate Intended is the third book in the Coulter Men Series. Trip is the last of the Coulter sons to find love. He’s a handsome man with all the skills a young spy needs to succeed. Wow. Interesting. Kind of reminds me of the terms they use at the creative terms they use a the wastewater treatment plant (sewer). For some reason they all seem to be food related.

Those are some pretty epic terms. LOVE IT. I know who I'm going to hit up for advice if I ever aim to write a spy book. Probably won't but I will definitely be reading one. =)
