[New Release] The Faerie Prince by Rachel Morgan

To celebrate Rachel Morgan's newest release, The Faerie Prince, she's asked us to name our favorite fairy tale prince (or princess). Guess who mine is?

Come on! He's brave, athletic, and streetwise. What's not to love? Plus, he has a pretty great singing voice...

Now that half of you are swooning, let's get back to the main event. ;)

About The Faerie Prince

Guardian trainee Violet Fairdale is just weeks away from one of the most important occasions of her life: graduation. After messing up big time by bringing a human into the fae realm, Vi needs to step up her game and forget about Nate if she hopes to graduate as the top guardian of her year. Everything would be fine if she wasn’t forced to partner with Ryn, her ex-friend, ex-enemy, current ‘sort of friend’. They might be trying to patch up their relationship, but does she really want to spend a week undercover with him for their final assignment? On top of that, the possibly insane Unseelie Prince is still on the loose, free to ‘collect’ as many specially talented faeries as he can find—and Vi is still at the top of his list. Add in faerie queens, enchanted storms, complicated not-just-friends feelings, and a murder within the Guild itself, and graduation is about to become the least of Vi’s problems.

About Rachel

Rachel Morgan was born in South Africa and spent a large portion of her childhood living in a fantasy land of her own making. After completing a degree in genetics, she decided science wasn’t for her—after all, they didn’t approve of made-up facts. These days she spends much of her time immersed in fantasy land once more, writing fiction for young adults.

In celebration, The Faerie Guardian is on sale for a limited time!

[New Release] Jessica Therrien's UPRISING!

Happy Release Day to my good friend, Jessica Therrien! *throws confetti*

Title: Uprising (Children of the Gods #2)
Publisher: ZOVA Books
Release Date:
May 28, 2013
Genre: Paranormal Romance
Pages: 384
Synopsis

Jessica Therrien follows up her bestselling novel OPPRESSION with UPRISING, the second book in the Children of the Gods series.

OPPRESSION, translated and sold around the world, was one of the best selling YA novels of 2012. UPRISING continues the story of Elyse, William and the Descendants.

Elyse has been in hiding for most of her life. Only now she’s hiding with William, and she knows who she’s hiding from. The Council wants a child Elyse and William have yet to conceive, a child who will be the next oracle, and who will provide the final piece to a plan Christoph has been organizing for years. Charged with leading the rebellion against Christoph and his Council, Elyse feels well out of her depth. But she has good friends and strong allies who are willing to fight with her to the end, regardless of how far they have to go, and how many lives will be lost in the process. They have one goal: to live freely and openly with the rest of humanity, out from under The Council’s oppressive rule. The stakes could not be higher for Elyse and the Descendants longing for freedom. They'll have to learn to fight if they want to stand up against The Council, and to find allies in a world ruled by their enemies. The hardest part of waging a war is knowing who to trust. Elyse knows their uprising will change the world. She doesn’t realize it will change her, too.

Blogger Burn-Out

Going straight from my blog tour to the A-Z challenge might’ve been the slightest bit ambitious...

Because now I’ve got Blogger Burn-out, along with a minor case of the Industry Woes. This weekend, I found myself dreading things I normally enjoy—writing (!), reading industry news, planning blog topics, skimming my Facebook newsfeed, etc. It was all I could do to sit here and force myself to work.

So, I've decided to go on semi-hiatus until the end of June. Here are some loose guidelines:

  • I will schedule cover reveals, blog tour stops, and blog hops I've agreed to participate in.
  • I will celebrate my 2nd blogiversary with a big ol' giveaway.
(But I’m trying to wait until I hit 500 followers. Hint, hint.)

  • I won’t be doing regular content posts until July. X

In the meantime, I’ll be getting my sequel ready to query/submit. (Heads-up, critique partners!) I also want to completely clean out my work space. It's cluttered with release mess and writing notes, and it's driving me nuts!

Yep, I'd say it's time to take a step back...

Anyhoo, that's what's up with me.
How are you holding up, post-challenge?
:)
