[Linkage] G is for Grammar

Note: My A-Z theme is linkage. Every day (at 7:00 a.m. EST), I'm going to list three helpful industry links per letter, and then I'll ask for suggestions in the comments—that way, we can pool our resources! :)
G is for Grammar:

How do you brush up on your grammar?

P.S. "G" also stands for giveaway! ;)

I love grammar girl, and I'm now bookmarking those other two links. Thanks, Carrie! :D

Grammar Girl is an amazing resource! I hop over there all the time. Grammar was my G post today, too. ;-)

G = Gratifying vs Grating Grammar

Oh, wow. Thanks for the mention! I'm humbled.
Grammar Girl is great.

*hurries to update the GPM files* LOL :D

Melissa would be my tip too!

I've been so steeped in grammar for so many years that I drive my family nuts. They're always hyper-correcting when I'm around. "No need, guys! I'm a descriptivist at heart, really."

I love grammar and I love all those links! I will love the giveaway even more if I win! :)

I love Melissa's tips! When I need help, which is rare ;-P I always turn to Grammar Girl's Quick & Dirty Tricks (lie, lay, laid).

My go to help is Grammar Girl, I haven't seen Melissa's site yet. Off to check it out. My goal of 2013 (and A to Z theme is grammar) so these links are great. Thanks!

http://grammar.yourdictionary.com/ is a pretty good resource. One of the things I took home with me my last day of work, after I was laid off, was a pocket-sized book of grammar, spelling, punctuation, and other language usage rules. It was in my desk for all the years I was there and no one has probably missed it. They don't even employ a proofreader anymore.

Great idea for A-Z theme. I'll be following you! And also entering the Giveaway contest.

Ha! I also wrote about Grammar, becuase it's my nemesis! I'm following your blog -- love the idea of pooling resources!

She certainly does! :)

Double the A-Z action! *grins*

No problem, Clare! :)

Carrie Butler said...

You know what they say about great minds, Tia... ;)

Carrie Butler said...

They're grrreat!

(I don't know why I felt the need to channel my inner-Tony-the-Tiger, but I did. LOL)

Carrie Butler said...

You are very welcome, my friend! :) And yes, hurry. Company is coming over!

P.S. Thanks for the link!

Carrie Butler said...

Isn't she great? :D

Carrie Butler said...

Haha! I've noticed that, too. People are quick to correct themselves around me, like I'm going to pull out a ruler and smack their wrists or something.

If they saw my first drafts, they wouldn't feel that way... *grins*

Carrie Butler said...

Yay! :) Good luck, Donna!

Carrie Butler said...

*Grins* Rare, indeed. Just don't say that too loudly. Grammar karma can be vicious...

If I hadn't pre-written these posts, I would have totally mentioned your A-Z theme. It has been so helpful! :)

Thanks, Cathy! It's great to "meet" you. :) Good luck!

Carrie Butler said...

It's my nemesis, too. That's why I keep Melissa Maygrove around. *grins* Thank you!

Then hopefully these links will help out! We're all works in progress in one area or another. :)
