You guys are in for a treat today! Four of my blogging buddies--Mark Koopmans, Morgan Shamy, David Powers King and Stephen Tremp--are hosting a blogfest dedicated to The Ninja Captain: Alex J. Cavanaugh. If you don't know who that is, you're either new or have some form of amnesia, but that's okay. I'm here to help.
You see, I'm especially qualified to participate in this blogfest:
1. My nickname in college was ninja. (Don't ask.)
2. My birthday is Day of the Ninja. (December 5th.)
Cool, right? So, now that you've seen half of my resume, let's get this party started!
Rules:
- Be a Follower
- Join the Linky List
- Post your 200 word contribution on December 10th
- Have fun!
What do you mean, 'I can't see them'? I was being stealthy! *sigh* Okay, highlight the space between the title and this passage.
*mutters something about invisible ink*

What does Alex look like?
Alex looks exactly like the clones he created to roam the blogosphere, leaving words of encouragement for fellow writers.
(+/- 20 words)
Who could play Alex in a documentary (living or dead)?
That's easy! Douglas Sarine from the "Ask a Ninja" video series. He shares his wisdom, but never reveals his face.
(+/- 20 words)
Who does Alex remind you of?
(+/- 100 words)
Alex reminds me of Joe Satriani, because he plays guitar and has a cult-like dedicated following.

LOCAL AUTHOR ARRESTED
Ninja Captain, Alejandro J. Cavanaugh, was arrested Monday in connection with a string of guitar thefts along the eastern seaboard. The IWSG founder and secret Cosbolt pilot claimed to have saved up for his latest conquest, a Gibson Les Paul, but police aren't buying it. "No one on the Internet knows what this guy looks like," an amateur detective told SYAW News. "He'd make a perfect criminal. We're almost sure it might've been him."

Thank you for sharing Alex with us, Mrs. Cavanaugh. As you know, everybody needs a ninja...

Pahaha, excellent entry in the fest! Great job!
This is a great entry! I love the stealthy rules!
... and you had Alex arrested? Good that no one can recognise him!
Haha! Too funny. I wish I would have heard about this blog fest. It's great and Alex is wonderful. So awesome to see him featured :D
LOL, this was an awesome entry! :D
Why thank you, Kyra! :)
Thanks, L.G.! I thought it would be appropriate to go stealth mode this time. ;)
I had Alejandro, Alex's alter ego, arrested. *grins* Thanks for stopping by, Nas!
You betcha! Alex is a great guy. Just don't tell him I said that. I am thoroughly enjoying the embarrassment aspect right now. ;)
Kidding!
Thanks, Elise! :D
Very clever trying to arrest Alex's alter ego! Julie
I loved this Carrie, especially the first answer... *chuckles*
what awesome ninja pics & flicks!
love your alex post!
Did I forget to say happy birthday? Happy birthday! Boy that Alex is a sneaky guy...
Oh very cool disappearing ink trick and yes, awesome ninja pics from one ninja to another.
No! Can't bust the Ninja. Must catch him first...
And what I wouldn't give for even ten percent of Joe Satriani's talent.
Thanks so much, Carrie! That was hilarious.
Can this be the new Alex theme song? (re Alejandro)

:-D And there's seriously a Day of the Ninja? Shut the front door!
You honoured our Ninja Captain most honourably, Carrie. Bravo. And double Bravo!
That was a funny news article. Alejandro! I love it!
Yes! Loved everything - the invisible ink, the FF, the video. Great post!!! :D
Don't worry. If I had more space, I would've written about how Alejandro escaped using a spoon, two paperclips, and a well-timed distraction from his followers (in the form of a flash mob). ;)
You're very welcome!
Thank you, Julie! :)
Hahaha! What a great blogfest.
Sorry about your computer!!! :(
Cult like, hahaha! We've all been sucked into the Ninja trance. :)
Totally laughing at the crossed out "cult-like"
Hahahaha... too funny! :D
Thanks, Michelle! I'm glad you enjoyed it. :D
Why thank you, Tara! :D
Joe Satriani! Yes, of course!! Why didn't I think of that? I love your little ninja graphics. So cute!
Generous. That would be my word. :)
Well I am new! But I can tell you that Dec. 5th is also my moms birthday! Happy Be-lated birthday!
Happy reading and writing*

Why thank you, Joylene! :D
Hi! Dropping in from the blog fest. This was a great post. It's true - no-one knows what he looks like :-)

Hahaha, loved this entry! I think it's the basis for a wonderful elementary chapter book:-) Cheers!!
Busted out laughing as soon as I read he was arrested. Good choice in the Ninja tune/video. Great job!

I can be sneaky, too... ;)
Oh my goodness. Hopefully a chapter book written by someone other than me. I can't be responsible for shaping young minds! LOL
