Results! (The Bases of Romance)

Remember when I promised to be less creepy this week? Well, I lied. Kind of. I forgot about having to report back, so you'll have to bear with me.

Side note: Whenever I say "bear with me," I picture a grizzly bear chilling in the chair beside me...

Ahem! If you missed last week, you can find the poll/updated results here.

As of Saturday, these were the results:

Person B files a restraining order against Person A.
...Just kidding. Everyone still with me? :)

So, how do you feel about these results? Are you surprised by any of them? Let me know in the comments. :)
Have a great week, guys!
P.S. I know. The little baseball player switches glove hands a few times. He's, uh... ambidextrous! *grins*

  1. Wow - you really put a lot of thought into this one! And I thought it was just me that was a little confused on the definitions. Love the visual representation of your data! Here's to having a lot of fun on a Monday morning.

    1. Thanks, Valerie! I hope having a general consensus clears up more confusion than it causes, but you never know. I might've ruined the analogy for everyone. *Grins*

(btw, know what would've been -fantastic-? Changing "bear" to "bare" just for this post ;) )

  7. haha - i love it! way to go on collecting data. i'm a fan of writers who graph :)

though i bet that lesbians would not be thrilled that the majority of people say they can only get to third base... seems skewed to hetero-romance.

    2. Thanks, Gina! You know what that means? We need more lesbians to take the next poll! :)

Hah! I love the addition of "yo" at the end, Hildred. ;)

  9. First off, your graphics are THE BOMB! You totally rock, Carrie.

And yes, a little surprised on some.... Like I wonder on that one right before everyone chose home, what exactly third base means to the people who chose second base for that one!

No, wait. Really, I don't want to know. ;)

    2. Hey, I forgot about that. Let's wait until I'm not pregnant fat anymore. It'll give me a goal to reach. (Am I hot enough for a nudist beach yet? Nope! Five more lbs to go!) Ha!

    3. Hah! Sounds good to me. We writers do need our goals, after all. ;)

  21. I love it. The results seem pretty fitting. Such a fun poll. Is that weird? Hmm... I got a kick out of it.

And... even more weird... when I say, "Bear with me," I always think... NAKED! Yeah! Once I accidentally wrote "bare with me" and I got so much crap for it. So that's what automatically comes to mind. Sorry if it's creepy. Had to share. :)

    1. If it's weird you thought it was fun, it's even weirder that I wrote it! *Grins*

Hah! I hope you didn't write it like, "You'll have to bare with me." That just screams sexual harassment. :P

Are you kidding? I love it when you share! :D

  22. LOL! Loved your way of showing the results. You give pie graphs a whole new fun view.

The only one I'm probably confused about is the last one. How does a person get to half a base? Like, half a kiss, half a nibble, half a suck...I mean, I'm probably confused on what a base and a half is meant to be interpreted as lol!!!

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Thanks, Angela! :)

I almost spit out my water reading that. Half a nibble... LOL

What I meant was... it's possible for two, consenting individuals to explore things that fall between two bases. You know, criteria-wise. ;)

  23. THanks for doing this, Carrie! I was always kind of curious about the bases thing, too. Great poll! :D
